Letter to MSNBC
To Whom it May Concern,
I am extremely disappointed to see that Ron Paul will not be featured on Meet the Press along with the other Presidential Candidates - particularly since you saw fit to interview Stephen Colbert, a satirist, instead of an actual candidate. Paul is clearly tapping into one of the major strains in American thought, wild and crazy as his ideas might appear amongst the realities of modernity. The fact of the matter is that recent events in the federal government have left the American people thirsty for frankness - and even the frankly mad will do.
You, though, as members of the media, are not in the position to decide to whom the public will be introduced. It is your place to merely report and allow America to make its own choices - disastrous or sagacious as they may be. I am not a libertarian, and would not vote for Paul except under the most bizarre of circumstances yet I believe he deserves equal time. MSNBC does a disservice to the republic by denying it to him.
Thank you for your time,
-Vincent Toups
